We depart from Hotel in Moshi and head to Marangu Gate to complete necessary formalities. The hike begins through a lush rainforest where we might spot blue monkeys. As we ascend, the trail opens up to reveal beautiful hillsides until we reach Mandara Hut.

After several hours of ascending in darkness, we reach Gilman's Point at 18,600 ft, where a breathtaking sunrise over Mawenzi Peak awaits. Finally, we reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After savoring the moment, we descend to Horombo Hut for dinner and rest.
